Tina was amazing in helping me set up my new computer. Not only is she very knowledgeable about all the technical aspects involved, but she is also one of very few "tech" people I have ever met in my life who is very skilled at interacting with less techy people and talking in plain, clearly understandable language. If I ever have any problems with my computer, or if I am in need of training assistance, I will definitely ask for Tina!
Tina came in to my home to give me a wonderfully comprehensive tutorial that showed me how face book works and what it has to offer. Rather than talking in the abstract, she opened her own face book to guide me through its many facets and opportunities. Her demonstraton showed me exactly what I wanted to know and how face book worked. Her description was concrete, very knowledgeable and easy to follow giving me the information I needed to make a decision. On her second visit, I asked for some technical help with difficulties I encountered on my aging Mac computer. Here too, her work and accompanying descriptions and comments were just what I needed. Easy to follow, yet technical enough to cover the points that were bothering me. She also had excellent advice about the need to keep in mind that an update of my equipment might be needed in the not too distant future. Her advice on this matter, too, was clear and easy to follow though still technically well-informed. I have no hesitation in recommending Tina's services to any computer user for in-house service, be that customer well experienced or more needy as I tend to be. Anne D. Forester PhD.
As we are two retired Seniors who have had very "people oriented" careers in the past, it was a breath of fresh air to have Tina come to our home, got right down to tutoring, didn't speak "down" to us (altho we are anything but computer wise), was focused on one subject at a time, was thorough in her assuring we understood and kept her excellent sense of humour throughout the short 1.5 hours she was with us. There is no hesitancy in our referring her to anyone - young or old - who need that understanding and loss of fear of in enjoying the computer. We WILL refer eGurus to all in our complex of 235 (Senior) Homes. Glad we had her ! Murray and Jeanette Elsom, Summergate Village, Sidney, B.C. P.S. (We would be happy to speak to anyone who would like to hear from a Satisfied Pupil.) *please contact the office for client's contact information
I employed Tina Jubinville for two blocks of five sessions. I was very pleased with her teaching methods and her patience. I really felt that I learned a lot and that I overcame my anxiety about making a mistake and having everything disappear into the ether. She wrote instructions for all the things we learned and now, if I can't remember something, I can refer to her written instructions and can follow them.
Both my wife and I are very happy that we came across Jennifer and Tina. I was hooked up expertly to Microsoft 7. Tina is very knowledgeable, helpful and most pleasant. She is a born teacher because it must be hard to educate 90 year old man!. Fortunately she writes the information down so I can review this. My name is Embert Van Tilburg and my wife's is : Lies Ryan. I hope my views are helpful.Cheers Embert
Tina, I want to thank you so much, from me, from my parents, and from my brothers and sisters. You went beyond what could have ever been expected of you, many times, and in many ways, in helping my parents. We recognize and appreciate all that you did for my parents, and for us. I am so grateful that you were there to help them. For you information, I talked with Cleve on that Saturday. He also sent me a follow-up email, last week. He has taken the issue to corporate security. Tina, you are a wonderful tutor, and you work for an admirable organization. I appreciate the specialization you offer with seniors. Thank you for your knowledge and your people skills. R. Jones Vancouver, BC
" When I was hired to manage content for Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.?s newly launched blog (Working Effectively with Aboriginal Peoples?.com), I faced a wall of fear and confusion as I did not have experience working the backend of a website. In one hour, in my home, Jenn broke down the process in a logical, step-by-step format that removed the fear and provided me with the skills and confidence I needed to access the site, insert content, videos, pictures and hyperlink between postings. I highly recommend her as a teacher. Julie Domvile, writer, blog manager "
" After experiencing computer frustration for about two years, a friend gave me the phone number for Jennifer Cairns, the computer tutor for seniors. I thank this friend every time we meet as his suggestion has given my life a whole new dimension. Jennifer Cairns turned out to be a wonderful person with a winning personality, great sense of humour and the patience of a Saint. Her methods are simple and learning about computers with her is fun and one of life's great pleasures. I recommend her to anyone with computer problems. If she can't help, nobody can. She is a fountain of knowledge and has the ability and grace to share it all. She's also gorgeous! Lorne John Dubay "
