Thanks for your tutor that you send to our house! He was very professional, kind and hard working individual; who's work ethic was be on description. He cleaned my computer of all the unnecessary programs and left only the programs that were necessary for my use, and did some soft teaching. I employed Tina Jubinville for two blocks of five sessions. I was very pleased with her teaching methods and her patience. I really felt that I learned a lot and that I overcame my anxiety about making a mistake and having everything disappear into the ether. She wrote instructions for all the things we learned and now, if I can't remember something, I can refer to her written instructions and can follow them.

Jennifer has assisted me with all of my computer and telephone issues for the past 2 years. She has always been helpful and willing to meet with me whenever I had issues. She is very quick to identify the problem and she teaches me how to deal with these problems should they occur again in the future. Steve completed the task of solving my delima that arose from an email I received extremely quickly and resolved my concern completely. As he had some additional time available Steve was also able to teach me how to create new e-mail 'files', which I had been needing for some time, plus he helped me to be knowledgeable about a group of old discs that I had been reluctant to dispose of. A while ago I called you to ask you to send one of your ‘gurus’ over to help me with computer problems..... and after explaining my needs to you, you recommended Alex. You were so right in recommending him and I want to pass on to you how much I have appreciated it. I have had several problems over time, and he has helped me so much in solving them. As we are two retired Seniors who have had very "people oriented" careers in the past, it was a breath of fresh air to have Tina come to our home, got right down to tutoring, didn't speak "down" to us (altho we are anything but computer wise), was focused on one subject at a time, was thorough in her assuring we understood and kept her excellent sense of humour throughout the short 1.5 hours she was with us. Tina came in to my home to give me a wonderfully comprehensive tutorial that showed me how face book works and what it has to offer. Rather than talking in the abstract, she opened her own face book to guide me through its many facets and opportunities. Her demonstraton showed me exactly what I wanted to know and how face book worked. Her description was concrete, very knowledgeable and easy to follow giving me the information I needed to make a decision. On her second visit, I asked for some technical help with difficulties I encountered on my aging Mac computer. Here too, her work and accompanying descriptions and comments were just what I needed. Easy to follow, yet technical enough to cover the points that were bothering me. She also had excellent advice about the need to keep in mind that an update of my equipment might be needed in the not too distant future. Her advice on this matter, too, was clear and easy to follow though still technically well-informed. I have no hesitation in recommending Tina's services to any computer user for in-house service, be that customer well experienced or more needy as I tend to be. Anne D. Forester PhD.

Approximately six years ago I met Jennifer, owner of Computer Tutor for Seniors. Why did I meet her in my home? Like so many seniors, I was having a challenge learning this PC computer that the family go t me for Xmas. I was used to my small desktop Apple and was having a wicked time trying to learn the PC computer that I did not want. Of course my family assure me that they would me adjust to the PC. HA! HA! Not long after Xmas, I received another gift of a FEW computer lessons from Jennifer. I tried my best to adapt, but Jennifer was very observant and recognized that I was going nowhere. Hence, she suggested that maybe I should put the PC aside, since I hated it, and purchase an Apple Mini. So, I bit the pocket book and Jennifer went to a small Apple computer company and purchased for me a somewhat simple system. By the time she had assessed my computer skill and know what I needed. For anyone having a hearing challenge, Jennifer is the person to hire. I had purchased a huge blank book and she happily wrote down EVERY instruction that she verbally gave me. For me, that was very important because I don’t retain instant information. As a senior, I know very well that there are many more persons like myself who just let things fly right on by..(That could be song for seniors, eh?) I can honestly say that she has the PATIENCE of Job in going over and over and over the same things again and again. That’s why having her write the instruction in her own words has been a tremendous aid. I highly recommend Jennifer Cairns to anyone who is timid to grab this rather new method of communication by the ears and go for it! You can’t be left behind the times. Just bit the bullet and call Jennifer for assistance and get over your fears of this new age machinery. Dorothy Liptrot
